Marina Łeba

It is the first comprehensive project of this kind to be built on the Polish coast.

It can accommodate more than 120 units of various classes, including sailing yachts up to 18 metres long and motor yachts up to 24 metres long.

The berths provide water and electricity connections.

The berths are located on the gangways of the floating jetties, which is a modern solution, providing opportunities for possible reconstruction of the yacht basin equipment and carrying out necessary harbour works.

The ruins of the church of St. Nicholas, protector of fishermen and sailors, from the 14th century

It is the oldest monument of the city. In the 14th century, in the vicinity of the church, there was the old Łeba, i.e. the original settlement and predecessor of our city.

Alas, catastrophic storms have destroyed the building completely, leaving just a tiny little fragment thereof.

Horse riding

Barely 2 km away from the SAILOR Hotel, there are two stud farms.

They offer a horse riding school, sunset beach trips, tournaments and competitions.

Each stud has also ponies and special instructors for children.

Navigation Cross

A 16 m high metal structure at the base of the Łeba’s western breakwater.

Erected in September 2001 to commemorate seamen, fishermen, sailors and all those who never came back home from the sea.

Hiking and biking trails

Green trail. 18 km long. Starts in Łeba and leads through the village of Rąbka to the highest dune hill, which is Łącka. It goes through the Łeba Spit, allowing you to observe various dunes forms, starting with initial small dunes at the back of the beach up to active dune barchans.

Red trail Łeba – Rowy 36,5 km long. Goes through the Gardnieńsko-Łebska Spit, from the beach through the most active seaside barchans, such as the Łącka and Czołpińska Dune, crowberry forest, mid-forest lakes Dołgie Duże and Małe, up to Lake Gardno.

Yellow trail /Slovinians trail/ Łeba-Gardna Wielka/ length 39 km: The trail leads through Żarnowska, Gać, Izbica, Lisia Góra, Kluki, Smołdzino to Gardna Wielka, where you can admire historic folk and sacral buildings.

In Smołdzino, the blue trail called ‘Dolina Łupawy’ (‘Łupava River Valley’) bounces off the yellow trail and takes you to a viewing tower situated on the top of the Rowokół hill.

Wandering dunes

If you love nature and fear no challenges, you should definitely pay a visit to the Slovincian National Park to meet the famous desert.

The huge stretches of sand creating the dunes literally take your breath away.

The dunes reach heights of even more than 30 metres above the sea level and, carried by the wind, travel at a rate of 3-10 m per year.

The journey through the ‘scorching dunes’ usually ends with a swim in the refreshing sea.

Slovincian National Park

The area of the Slovincian National Park is superficially dominated by water ecosystems, accounting for more than a half thereof.

The biggest lakes, i.e. Łebsko (7140 ha) and Gardno (2400 ha), the main rivers Łeba, Łupawa and Pustynka, numerous melioration channels and mid-forest reservoirs Dołgie Wielkie (174 ha) and Dołgie Małe (6,4 ha) shape the hydrological network of the Park.

In the lakes of the SNP, 10 plant communities have been distinguished, which are dominated by submerged plant communities formed by species characteristic for zeutrophic waters. The consequence of increased primary production is a decrease in the range of fully submerged vegetation in the water depths as well as the expansion of bulrush and reed rushes in the shore zone. Lake Dołgie Wielkie and Lake Smłodzińskie are the habitats of the greatest natural peculiarities: mono-flower liverwort, lake leopard and freshwater sponge.

Rocket Launcher – SNP

Around 1940, a Nazi rocket range. Here, German scientists tested anti-aircraft and ballistic missiles.

The site includes: an exposition of a ground-to-ground missile dug out 1.5 km from the SNP training ground, buildings from the Second World War, a command bunker, a launching funnel with visible coolant channels, foundations of the radiolocation stations.

HAINGOLD and MANHEIM REISE, foundations of an assembly hall for the construction of anti-aircraft missiles.

Lighthouses

A true visiting card of this region are lighthouses.

For tourists, the neighbourhood offers two: one in Czołpino (height of the tower: 25.2 m) and in Stilo (height of the tower: 33.4 m).
